In the Asian region, respectively according to the teachings of Feng Shui, the lucky chestnut is considered a symbol of prosperity and luck, because with its hand-like arranged leaves it is supposed to catch – and hold on to – pieces of money. Hence the name. Like the four-leaf clover, it is thus one of the plants that are considered lucky charms.
