Description
The elephant foot (Beaucarnea recurvata) is also called bottle tree, water palm or elephant tree – it is often still sold under its old genus name Nolina. The tree originally comes from Mexico. It grows there in tropical dry forests as a succulent tree and can reach a height of about nine metres and a trunk diameter of one metre. In pot culture, however, the elephant foot remains much smaller. It belongs to the asparagus family (Asparagaceae) and is related to the yucca, among others. The plant is very easy to grow and therefore also suitable for beginners.
Our elephant foot is delivered in a very beautiful pot and has a height of approx. 40-50 cm.
