Aloe vera originates from the Middle East. This succulent is now widespread in the Caribbean, Central America and Asia. Due to the many useful properties of the sap, the plant is widely cultivated for drinks, wound care, sun protection and cosmetics. The thick foliage grows on a stem and is up to 60 cm long. There are small serrations on the edges of the pastel-coloured, green-grey leaves.
Aloe vera needs very little water, as the plant can store the water in its gel-like leaves. In the period between April and October, the plant needs a little more water to prevent the root ball from drying out completely. In autumn and winter, this succulent can go weeks without water.
Our Aloe Vera comes in a beautiful planter and is approx. 40-50cm tall.
